BACKFLOW TESTING

With any sprinkler system, there is the potential for dirt, dust, debris, fertilizers, and chemicals to enter your drinkable water supply. This is why backflow preventers are installed on all systems. (Does not apply to well systems with no cross-connection.)

Over time, wear and tear can prevent the backflow preventer from working properly. The seals, springs, diaphragms, and other working parts wear out.

NJ State Law currently requires all commercial properties have their backflow preventers tested annually. Residential requirements are limited to testing upon installation but it is recommended it be done annually at the time of Spring Start-Up.

Please call with any questions. But don't just take our word for it. You can contact your local plumbing department or the NJ DEP for more information.
